Bradenton man released on child porn charge arrested again on 34 counts

MANATEE -- A Bradenton man was charged Thursday afternoon with transmitting child pornography via the internet, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

In November 2015, an investigation was initiated on Charles Lynn Boswink, 72, for transmitting child pornography via the internet. Deputies said the investigation led to the arrest of Boswink on Jan. 28 for sexual performance by a child.

Boswink was released from jail Feb. 1, after he posted $30,000 bond, sheriff's office spokesman Dave Bristow said.

According to a release, detectives continued the investigation and on Thursday, Boswink was charged with an additional 34 counts of sexual performance by a child.

A large quantity of child pornography was seized from Boswink's computer. The photos appear to be stock photos and there is no indication of local children being involved, deputies said.

Booking information for Boswink was not immediately available.
