2 Bradenton men in serious condition following crash
MANATEE -- Two Bradenton men are in serious condition following a crash on U.S. 41 at 6:28 p.m. Thursday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
A 19-year-old Bradenton woman driving a Chevrolet Spark southbound was turning left on 53rd Avenue from U.S. 41, according to a release. A 37-year-old Palmetto man driving northbound on U.S. 41 approaching the same intersection.
The woman failed to see the man's truck and tried to turn left, troopers said. The man's Ford F-150 struck the right side of the Spark.
Two men were in the women's car, and all three were taken to Blake Medical Center. The driver's injuries were minor, but the 21-year-old man is listed in critical condition and the 19-year-old man has serious injuries, according to the report.
The driver of the F-150 suffered minor injuries and did not require a hospital visit. U.S. 41 was closed in all directions at the intersection for nearly two hours.
The woman was cited for failing to yield to oncoming traffic when making a left turn.
