Palm print match leads to Bradenton man's arrest over burglary
BRADENTON -- A Bradenton man was charged with burglarizing a home after police found a print matching his left palm on the windowsill of the victim's home, according to the Bradenton Police Department.
Christopher Carpenter, 33, was arrested at 10:50 a.m. Wednesday.
At 1 p.m. Oct. 5, a victim reported his home in the 1400 block of 29th Street West was broken into and several items stolen. Officers found a broken bedroom window at the home.
A Bradenton police crime scene technician processed prints found around the bedroom window and forwarded them to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office for analysis, police said.
Police received a positive match to the prints Tuesday.
Carpenter was charged with burglary of an unoccupied residence, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office website. He was held in Manatee County jail on $7,500 bond, according to the sheriff's office.
