Police hunt for suspect in Bradenton bank robbery
BRADENTON -- Bradenton police are looking for a man who robbed a BB&T Bank on Friday morning.
About 10:53 a.m., the robber walked into the bank at 5312 Cortez Road W., Bradenton, and demanded money. He then fled the area on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said in a news release.
Officers, with the assistance of the Manatee County Sheriff's Office K-9 Unit, searched the area but were not able to find the suspect, according to the release.
The suspect is described as a 5-foot-10 to 6-foot male, weighing 160 to 180 pounds with dark hair and wearing a yellow jacket hoodie with brown striped sleeves with distinct lettering on the back, blue jeans and black sunglasses. Police released three images of the suspect during the robbery Friday afternoon.
