The collision happened about 1:30 p.m., when the driver of a red Hummer with tinted windows and large chrome wheels was exiting from the Big Lots shopping plaza at 5108 15th St. E., Bradenton, according to a news release.
The bicyclist was southbound on the west sidewalk of 15th Street when he was hit by the Hummer as he crossed the driveway into the shopping center, FHP said.
