Bradenton man faces drug, fleeing, and DUI charges

MANATEE -- A Bradenton man faces charges of DUI, fleeing to elude, operating a vehicle without a driver license, possession of cocaine, and refusing to submit to a DUI test, the Manatee Sheriff's Office reports.

After the driver of a red Volkswagen refused to stop for deputies, they used a pursuit termination device about 6:20 a.m. Sunday in the 2300 block of U.S. 41, deflating one of the tires, the sheriff's office reports.

The driver pulled over immediately and was taken into custody.

A small plastic bag containing residue of cocaine was found. Deputies identified the suspect as Sebastin V. Canil, 24.
