PALMETTO -- A man was charged Sunday with exposing himself to a 14-year-old, and he told police he did it because he wanted to make the boy and his mother leave his house, according to the Palmetto Police Department.

The victim lives with his mother who is roommates with Christopher Pitt. Pitt has known the mother and the victim for years, and knows the victim is a minor, according to an arrest report.

The victim told police Pitt was walking around the residence naked Sunday evening, and when he left his bedroom to get a drink of water Pitt blocked his doorway and said, "Come here fat boy, I want to (expletive) you." The boy said he asked Pitt to move multiple times before he did.

Pitt told officers he was not naked but had a towel wrapped around his body. He said he was arguing with the victim in the doorway, and that the towel "may have fallen off." He said he was drunk and did it because he wanted the victim and his family to leave the residence.

Pitt was charged with lewd and lascivious exhibition on a victim younger than 16. He was released from the Manatee County jail on Monday on $7,500 bond.
