Teen speeds from traffic stop, crashes into Bradenton home

BRADENTON -- A teen was arrested after speeding from an attempted traffic stop at 12:12 a.m. Saturday, and crashing into a Bradenton home, according to the Bradenton Police Department.

Bradenton police officers attempted a traffic stop on 21st Avenue, but the suspect sped off, according to the police report. The fleeing vehicle later crashed into a home in the 2700 block of 20th Avenue Drive West and the suspect ran.

Police officers soon found the 16-year-old male suspect.

Crime-scene technicians photographed substantial damage to the home. No injuries were reported.

The teen was charged with possession of a firearm by a minor, possession of marijuana, and criminal and non-criminal driving violations, according to the report.
