Bradenton police say man hit victim with baseball bat during backyard fight

BRADENTON -- A man was arrested early Thursday after he hit someone with a baseball bat during a fight, according to the Bradenton Police Department.

Police responded to calls of a fight in the backyard of a home in the 2300 block of 15th Avenue East at 1:18 a.m., according to a report.

Police determined that Fulgencio Aniceto struck the victim, who is married to Aniceto's sister, got into a fight and Aniceto hit the victim in the head with a baseball bat during the fight. The victim was taken to Blake Medical Center on a trauma alert and was later upgraded to stable condition.

Aniceto was arrested without incident on scene. He is charged with domestic battery with great bodily harm.
