Manatee sheriff's office conducting DUI patrols on New Year's Eve

MANATEE -- The Manatee County Sheriff's Office will be cracking down on those driving under the influence on New Year's Eve and early New Year's Day.

The sheriff's office announced it will conduct DUI saturation patrols in areas with a history of DUI arrests and crashes in the county between 4 p.m. Thursday and 4 a.m. Friday.

Deputies are conducting the patrols in conjunction with the "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" national campaign.
