Manatee deputies looking for armed Christmas Eve robber

MANATEE -- A man and a woman were walking into a residence at 1:30 a.m. Thursday when they were robbed by a man with a handgun, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

The 27-year-old woman and 45-year-old man were in a vehicle parked in front of a residence in the 1000 block of 63rd Avenue East in Bradenton, according to a release. They were near the front door when a man described as a 6-foot, 150 pounds, around age 30, with a black knit hat, black shirt and black pants, pointed a handgun at the woman, demanding money, deputies reported.

The male victim gave the man money and he ran north without injuring the two, according to the release.

Deputies were unable to locate the suspect.
