Man snatches woman's wallet with $900 at Bob Evans restaurant in Bradenton, flees
MANATEE -- A man stole a wallet with $900 in cash from a woman as she was getting out of her car at a restaurant on State Road 70, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
The incident occurred at 10:48 a.m. Monday in the west lot of Bob Evans, 7393 S.R. 70, Bradenton. The 32-year-old victim parked in the west lot of the restaurant and, as she was getting out of her vehicle with her wallet in hand, the suspect suddenly appeared, snatched her wallet and fled running west, according to a release.
Deputies said the victim got back in her car and attempted to chase after the suspect, then called 911, the sheriff's office said. The victim told deputies that she had $900 in cash stolen from her wallet.
The victim was not injured in the incident, according to a release.
The suspect was described as being in his 50s or 60s, with medium length, straight gray white hair, wearing a white pull over, dark pants and dark boots.
