2 Manatee County witnesses help collar burglary suspect at K&K Mobile Home Park

MANATEE -- Deputies interrupted an apparent burglary in progress in the 4900 block of 18th Street West at K&K Mobile Home Park at 1:46 p.m. Thursday.

A caller said loud banging could be heard on a nearby residence door and a silver vehicle was parked behind the place with motor running.

A witness told deputies Chancey Z. Godfrey, 21, was seen walking out of the residence where the silver car was parked. Detectives and deputies converged where the suspect vehicle was seen leaving the 18th Street West area. The suspect vehicle pulled over on its own.

Godfrey was ID'd and charged with burglary. Booking information was not immediately available.
