Anonymous call about suspicious vehicle leads to drug charges for Bradenton man
BRADENTON -- A Bradenton man was arrested on drug charges at 12:57 a.m. Friday after an anonymous tip about his suspicious vehicle, according to the Bradenton Police Department.
Ronald D. Richardson, 66, was arrested in the 400 block of 32nd Street Northwest, police said, after a tip came in shortly after midnight.
Police searched the vehicle and found a piece of crack cocaine in the passenger seat. According to the report, a small piece of crack cocaine was also found in the driver's seat where Richardson was sitting and a broken crack pipe on the driver's side floor board, along with a burnt brillo pad.
Richardson was charged with possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office website. He was released from Manatee County jail the same day on bonds totaling $2,000.
