MANATEE -- A Myakka City man is charged with threatening to stab a man who honked at him at a gas station, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

Chase J. Ostraco, 20, was arrested at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the 5900 block of 14th Street West. According to a report, the victim was behind Ostraco at the gas pumps at Race Trac station, 5410 14th St. W. The victim honked his horn at Ostraco after he had been waiting for Ostraco to leave the pump area. The victim told deputies Ostraco was still sitting there.

According to the sheriff's office, the victim honked again and Ostraco began to leave. The victim told deputies that Ostraco then stopped his truck and blocked the victim in. Ostraco then got out of his vehicle and so did the victim.

That's when the victim and a witness said Ostraco pulled out a fixed blade knife and threatened to cut and stab the victim. Deputies said the witness also got out of the victim's truck after he heard Ostraco threaten to stab and kill the victim.

Ostraco then left in his truck, according to a report.

Ostraco was charged with aggravated assault and was being held in Manatee County jail without bond, according to the sheriff's office.
