Authorities: One person shot at Tampa hospital; gunman shoots self

TAMPA -- Hillsborough County Sheriff's deputies responded to Florida Hospital in Tampa this morning after reports of a shooting.

According to deputies, the shooting happened inside the hospital, located at 3100 East Fletcher Avenue, just after 7 a.m.

Officials said it appears one person was shot and the gunman has died at the scene from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The initial shooting victim is being treated at the hospital.
