Drive-by shooting in Bradenton under investigation; no injuries reported

BRADENTON -- Bradenton police are investigating a drive-by shooting early Sunday in which two vehicles were struck by bullets, but their occupants escaped injury.

Investigators say the incident may have been precipitated by an altercation at a local nightclub.

Police say drivers of the two vehicles had parked in a driveway at about 2 a.m. in the 5200 block of 15th Street Court East when an unidentified vehicle drove by, and two shots were fired.

One bullet struck each vehicle, causing minor damage. The investigation continues.
