Man robbed at Bradenton apartment complex

BRADENTON -- A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a suspect accused of a strong-arm robbery Saturday night.

Bradenton police say they were called at 10:07 p.m. to the Treesdale apartment complex, 1818 Martin Luther King Ave. E. According to a police report, the victim said he was sitting outside near an apartment when he was approached by a known suspect and pushed to the ground.

The suspect then removed $100 from the victim's pocket and fled, the report said. The victim then began chasing the suspect, when a second unidentified individual who was standing nearby, brandished a handgun. Both suspects fled on foot.

An arrest warrant was issued for the first suspect, and the investigation continues.
