Bradenton man beaten during carjacking Saturday morning

MANATEE COUNTY -- A man was beaten during a carjacking early Saturday morning, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's office.

The victim was sitting in his cousin's vehicle with the engine running shortly before 2 a.m. outside the El-Paisano bar, 5815 15th Street East, Bradenton when two men got into the vehicle and told him not to move, according to the sheriff's report.

The men drove the car with the victim inside to 5800 11th Street East where the driver beat him. The two men drove off, leaving the victim, who sustained minor injuries.

The sheriff's report noted that neither the suspects nor the vehicle were located.
