Venice man, 90, ticketed after fatal crash with Nokomis motorcyclist

VENICE -- A 90-year-old Venice man was at fault in a crash that claimed the life of a 39-year-old Nokomis man at 3:35 p.m. Thursday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Milton Harnois was in a Toyota Camry northbound on U.S. 41 in the left-turn lane approaching the intersection with Seaboard Avenue.

Adrian Michael Morales was southbound on a motorcycle on U.S. 41 in the inside left lane approaching the intersection with Seaboard Avenue.

Harnois turned left onto westbound Seaboard Avenue directly into Morales' path and the front of the Camry collided with the right side of the motorcycle.

Morales was transported to Venice Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Harnois was cited for violating the right of way by the Florida Highway Patrol.
