Bradenton man charged with stealing tools from private home

MANATEE -- A Bradenton man has been charged with stealing tools from the enclosed porch of a private home, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

Edward Andrade, 26, was arrested at 10:25 a.m. Monday in the 800 block of 30th Avenue East. According to witnesses, Andrade entered the victim's backyard in the 600 block of 31st Avenue East by climbing a locked fence and stole tools from the enclosed porch. The victim's stepsister was sleeping inside the residence, the sheriff's office reported.

According to witnesses, Andrade carried stolen property when he climbed the fence again to flee. A deputy found Andrade near the scene using the description given by witnesses.

Stolen items included an air compressor, saw and hammer drill valued at approximately $395.

Andrade was charged with burglary of an occupied dwelling and grand theft, according to the sheriff's office website. He was held in Manatee County jail on bonds totaling $20,000.
