BRADENTON -- After officers found a suspect in possession of narcotics Tuesday afternoon, the man tried to run away and was tased, according to the Bradenton Police Department.

Police caught Michael Miller, 59, in the 1000 block of First Street East at 2:54 p.m. and found he had illegal drugs with him, according to a report.

While officers were attempting to arrest Miller, he started running away and police used a stun gun to take him down.

Miller was treated at Manatee Memorial Hospital and then taken to the Manatee County jail. He is charged with drug possession and resisting arrest without violence and is being held on $1,000 bond.
