Sarasota man arrested on multiple charges after search warrant yields drugs and cash
SARASOTA -- A Sarasota man was arrested on multiple drug charges after a search warrant at his home yielded 33.7 pounds of marijuana and more than 132 grams of Butane Hash Oil used in E-cigarette cartridges, according to the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office.
Conrado A. Salas, 35, was arrested at 11:39 a.m. Friday after his Sarasota home was searched. According to a release, Special Investigation Section detectives obtained a search warrant for Salas' apartment after the U.S. Postal Service intercepted a package containing 27 pounds of marijuana addressed to him.
"After taking him into custody, they seized an additional 33 pounds of marijuana, more than 132 grams of Butane Hash Oil used in E-cigarette cartridges, 11 grams of cocaine, Adderall and nearly $22,000 in cash," according to a release.
Salas was charged with trafficking in marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of cocaine with intent to sell and possession of Butane Hash Oil with intent to sell, deputies said. Salas also faces two counts of possession of a controlled substance and manufacturing of Butane Hash Oil.
Salas was being held on $40,000 bond, the sheriff's office said.
