Homeless man found stabbed inside his truck in Terra Ceia

MANATEE -- A 64-year-old homeless man was found stabbed inside his truck in Terra Ceia, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

The homeless man was last seen by one man at about 2 a.m. Thursday walking his dog near the H.E. Boyd Bridge area, according to a news release. At about 7:30 a.m., a man found the homeless man passed out in his truck in the 5900 Block of US 19 with a deep stab wound to his mouth.

The victim was reportedly drunk and could not remember what had happened. He was taken to Blake Medical Center for treatment of his non-life threatening injuries.
