Attempted break-in reported at BP station

BRADENTON -- Bradenton police say a suspect tried -- and failed -- to break into a BP gas station early Sunday morning.

City police say a suspect threw a large paving brick at the entrance to the BP station at 2925 Manatee Ave. W. but was unable to breach glass door.

Police responding to an alarm call discovered the attempted burglary. No suspects were located, and the investigation continues.
