MANATEE -- A Palmetto man has been charged with throwing a bottle at his ex-girlfriend, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

Jeremy Larkin Mazon, 23, was arrested at 8:30 a.m. Thursday by Second Avenue West and 10th Street Court West in Palmetto, according to the report.

At 2:30 a.m. Nov. 1, deputies reported Mazon's ex-girlfriend and the mother of his child went with another person to Touch of Class Restaurant & Lounge, 5131 14th St. W., Bradenton, where Mazon works.

Mazon's ex and the other person went into the kitchen to get something to eat. Mazon stood in the pathway to exit the kitchen. Once the pair got their food, they walked past Mazon, who started yelling at them.

When his ex turned around, he threw a bottle at her, which reportedly struck her on the right cheek. The pair left the bar before Mazon's ex-girlfriend called law enforcement.

Mazon was charged with domestic battery and held in Manatee County jail on $1,000 bond, according to the sheriff's office website.
