SARASOTA -- Officers with the Sarasota Police Department are investigating a shooting occurring about 7 p.m. Wednesday in the 1600 block of East Avenue, Sarasota.

"At this point in time, we don't believe their injuries to be life-threatening," Judge said of the shooting victims. "We believe they'll survive."
Shortly after 9 p.m., Judge said she was still waiting for detectives to arrive on scene and establish a timeline of what happened.
"We're still very early in the investigation," she added.
At 10:35 p.m., she sent out the last Wednesday update saying the victims are adult, black males. The relationship between the two is unknown.
Both men were transported to the hospital via ambulance.
The motive is still under investigation.
"No arrest has been made but public is not believed to be in any danger," said Judge.
