Bradenton police report Tallahassee endangered adult missing
BRADENTON -- A disabled Tallahassee man is missing, according to the Bradenton Police Department.
James Byrd Jr., 47, was last seen on Oct. 31 at The Springs Apartments, 702 51st St. E., Bradenton. Police said he was last seen wearing a gray and black v-neck shirt, gray sweatpants, and a red Tampa Bay Buccaneers hat.
According to a report, Byrd wears glasses and was in possession of them when he left.
"Mr. Byrd should be in a manual wheelchair black in color with no arm rests," a release states. "Mr. Byrd is disabled and requires the use of the wheelchair."
Police also said Byrd is required to take daily medication and has not had his medication since Oct. 31.
According to a report, Byrd has no other family or friends in the Bradenton area and is from Tallahassee and spent a short time in Orlando.
Byrd is described as standing 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighing 185 pounds. He is bald with brown eyes and a goatee.
