Manatee County mother reports 12-year-old son missing

MANATEE -- A 12-year-old Manatee County boy was reported missing at 6 p.m. by his mother, Carly Chandler, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

Chandler said Mario Chandler failed to return home from school Friday to a residence in the 6400 block of Ninth Street East.

Initially, she had no concerns and decided to wait until Saturday afternoon to report him, according to the report.

Chandler said her son has run away twice before but it appears she did not report him to law enforcement.

Several locations for the white male juvenile were checked.
