Bradenton man, 35, in critical condition after Manatee County crash
MANATEE -- A 35-year-old Bradenton man is in critical condition at Blake Medical Center after his 2004 Chevy pickup clipped another vehicle and rolled several times on southbound Interstate 75 at mile marker 220, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
David McCarty was southbound at 1:15 a.m. Saturday just north of State Road 64 in the center lane and a 2013 Kia Optima was in the right lane when the pickup changed lanes and collided with the rear-left side of the Kia, according to FHP.
The truck came to rest against the fence of the Cracker Barrel at 636 67th St. Circle E.
The 43-year-old driver of the Kia sustained minor injuries and was treated at Lakewood Ranch Hospital, according to FHP.
Charges are pending, according to FHP. Alcohol is not suspected as a factor in the crash.
