Motorcyclist injured in hit-and-run crash on U.S. 301 in Bradenton

MANATEE -- A motorcyclist has unspecified injuries after a hit-and-run crash on U.S. 301 Friday afternoon, according to the Emergency Communications Center.

A pickup truck collided with a motorcycle near the intersection of U.S. 301 and 51st Avenue East at 12:56 p.m., according to dispatchers. The pickup truck driver did not stop after the collision.

There is a roadblock in the northbound lanes of U.S. 301 due to the crash. First responders arrived on scene at 1:02 p.m.

Representatives with ECC did not know the extent of the motorcyclist's injuries.
