Juvenile shot in Palmetto as part of 'ongoing dispute'
MANATEE -- Deputies are looking for two to four men who shot a juvenile in the leg as part of an ongoing dispute early Thursday, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
The 16-year-old victim flagged down a law enforcement vehicle at 12:03 a.m. Thursday and said he was shot in the 200 block of 20th Street West in Palmetto, according to a release. The deputy found a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the boy's leg.
Deputies said the shooting was a result of an ongoing dispute between the victim and the suspects, but the suspects were only listed as two to four unknown men.
The juvenile was transported to a hospital for treatment.
