Bradenton shooting death under investigation

BRADENTON -- One person has died after a shooting late Saturday afternoon in Bradenton, according to a Bradenton police report.

The victim's identity has not been released.

Police responded to a report of a shooting at 5:52 p.m. in the 2200 block of Manatee Avenue East. The victim, who had been shot several times, was transported to Blake Medical Center in Bradenton and was pronounced dead at about 11:09 p.m., the report said.

The Manatee County homicide task force is investigating the case.
