Bradenton woman charged with striking pregnant woman after sex incident
MANATEE -- A Bradenton woman was charged with chasing a pregnant woman and hitting her in the face, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
Elizabeth Mary Spatcher, 28, was arrested at 7:24 a.m. Thursday in the 2100 block of Third Avenue East, Palmetto. Deputies responded after a 911 caller hung up and found the victim walking on 22nd Street East and Second Avenue East with blood on the corner of her mouth, according to the report.
The victim told deputies she was doing crack cocaine and was in and out of consciousness on Spatcher's male friend's couch. The victim said she woke up to the male violating her and told Spatcher. Spatcher reportedly became irate and hit her in the face.
After Spatcher was arrested, she told deputies she should have beaten the victim harder if she was going to be in handcuffs.
Spatcher was charged with aggravated battery, according to the sheriff's office website. She was held in Manatee County jail on $10,000 bond.
