About $24,000 in jewelry stolen during burglary in Parrish
MANATEE -- About $24,000 in jewelry was stolen from a residence in Parrish during a burglary Wednesday morning, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
The break-in happened between 7:15 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., in the 11500 block of 30th Cove East, in the River Woods subdivision, according to a news release.
The burglar or burglar, smashed out the glass panel in a rear door leading into the home's master bedroom and bath, then ransacked the bedroom and bathroom looking for items, according to the report.
Four pieces of jewelry worth about $24,000 were taken, deputies said.
Investigators collected fingerprint evidence, but they were unable to locate any cameras that might have captured the burglary. Neighbors told deputies they did not see anything unusual, according to the report.
