Deputies protect Moon Lake witness who survived Pasco County triple murder
Pasco County authorities Tuesday identified the third person shot to death in Moon Lake and said a fourth person was shot but escaped.
Louis Wayne Lunceford, 44, was the third person found dead in a small home around 5 a.m. Monday after a caller reported hearing gunshots, the Pasco County Sheriff's Office said. The two other victims were identified Monday as Justin Huckeby, 25, and Shane Newland, 42.
The survivor, a woman who got away after the two suspects in the killings fled the scene, is expected to recover from her wounds. Her identity is being withheld because she is a potential witness, the Pasco County Sheriff's Office said.
An autopsy by the District 6 Medical Examiner's Office confirmed Lunceford, Huckeby and Newland died from gunshot wounds, according to authorities. The District 6 office serves Pasco and Pinellas counties.
The suspects, Christopher Lee Duncane, 26, and Dora Delgado, 38, are considered armed and dangerous and were last seen in a Ford sport utility vehicle with Florida tag CDAA98, investigators said.
Pasco Sheriff Chris Nocoo has said the killings may have been a targeted drug-related hit. Forensics units have been gathering evidence at the home near Banbury Avenue and Adler Street.
Authorities are asking anyone with information about the killings or knowledge of the whereabouts of the suspects to contact the sheriff's office at 1-800-706-2488 or by clicking on "submit tips" at pascosheriff.us.
Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay has offered a cash rewarded for anyone with information leading to the suspects' arrest. Tips can submitted by calling 1-800-873-8477.
