Motorcyclist injured in Bradenton crash

MANATEE -- A 45-year-old Bradenton man was in serious condition after he crashed a motorcycle at 34th Street West and 53rd Avenue West at 8:15 p.m. Monday.

The man was driving a 2001 Yamaha Roadstar when he lost control while traveling north on 34th Street West in the right lane approaching the intersection at 53rd Avenue West, according to a Florida Highway Patrol media release.

When the motorcycle’s front tire struck a curb in the intersection the driver abruptly steered to the left, causing the bike to overturn on its left side, the report states.

The driver was ejected onto the pavement.
