Bradenton drug dealer arrested after house search finds narcotics, police say

A Bradenton man is facing felony trafficking charges after police say they found fentanyl, cocaine, cash and drug paraphernalia during a search of his home.

The Bradenton Police Department arrested Terron Hines, 38 Tuesday after detectives searched a home in the 4500 block of 19th Street Circle West, according to a social media post by the agency.

Before the search, police said Hines told detectives there was “nothing illegal” inside the home.

Detectives instead reported finding about 35.7 grams of fentanyl, 30.5 grams of cocaine, digital scales, several cell phones and $6,847 in cash.

Hines was charged with trafficking in fentanyl and trafficking in cocaine, according to police. Both charges are first-degree felonies punishable by up to 30 years in prison.

Under Florida law, trafficking charges are based on the amount of a controlled substance involved in the alleged offense.

Jail records show Hines remains in custody. He has a $50,000 bond on the cocaine trafficking charge, while no bond amount is listed for the fentanyl trafficking charge.

The Bradenton Police Department did not release additional details about the investigation.
