Sarasota ‘lookmaxxer’ Hullo arrested on child sexual abuse charges, deputies say

A Sarasota-based TikTok influencer known as “Hullo” has been arrested on over a dozen child sexual abuse material charges, deputies say.

Deputies arrested the influencer, whose real name is Mason Hull, in Sarasota on Wednesday after police found sexually explicit content depicting children ages 8 to 15 on his phone, according to court records.

The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office said that on April 30, the department met with Hull’s ex-girlfriend. She told deputies that she had concerns about Hull cheating on her, and decided to go through his phone while he was sleeping, leading to the discovery of disturbing conversations and videos in the Telegram app, according to court records.

On the app, which “appeared to have been recently used,” Hull’s ex-girlfriend found “several” chats in which Hull was communicating with different people and sending “confirmation of payment” for child sexual abuse material, court records showed.

Hull’s ex-girlfriend then took photos of some of the messages on her own phone, and provided the photos to deputies. She also said she saw links, photos and videos within the messages, according to deputies.

During an interview between deputies and Hull’s ex-girlfriend, she agreed to “participate in a controlled phone call” with Hull. Hull was hesitant to speak, as he was “unsure if she was truly alone and if he was being recorded,” so deputies went to Hull’s house after the phone conversation, court documents showed.

Hull agreed to speak with Sarasota deputies, and during the interview, law enforcement says he admitted to using Telegram to access child sexual abuse material and that he wanted to “try something new,” according to court records.

Hull also said there were at least two times he had paid money to get links to child sexual abuse material depicting children between the ages of 8 and 15 years old, court records showed.

Hull’s phone was seized by detectives, and after obtaining a warrant, it was searched. Deputies said they found 15 videos of child sexual abuse on the device.

Under Florida law, any person charged with over 10 counts of child sexual abuse material automatically receives harsher sentences.

Hull had nearly 349,000 TikTok followers as of Friday morning. His account, which focused on “lookmaxxing” content and advertised that younger, male followers could pay him for help enhancing their physical appearance, is now private.

Hull is currently in the Sarasota County Jail.
