Police investigate fatal hit-and-run crash in Bradenton neighborhood

The Bradenton Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian Friday afternoon.

The crash occurred at 1:02 p.m. in the 5600 block of 11th Avenue West, the street where the pedestrian lived, according to the police department. Police say they are searching for an “older gold sedan, possibly a Honda Accord.”

Further information about the victim, including the person’s name and age, was not immediately available Friday afternoon.

Those who may be able to provide any information on the car are urged to call 911, the department says.

Bradenton police say the investigation is ongoing.
