2 arrested after armed robbery at Bradenton grocery store, Manatee deputies say

Two men have been arrested following the armed robbery of a grocery store in Bradenton, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

At about 8 p.m. on Sunday, two individuals entered Tienda Latina, a Latin grocery store at 1239 60th Ave. W., according to a release from the sheriff’s office. The men were wearing masks and wielding handguns, the release said.

They fired their guns into the ceiling before taking cash from the register and fleeing the scene in an “older model gray sedan,” according to the sheriff’s office.

When deputies arrived on the scene, they interviewed witnesses and began their search for the suspects. They found the vehicle, with the suspects inside, “just a few blocks away,” according to the sheriff’s office.

After obtaining search warrants, deputies found two handguns inside the car, leading to the arrest of the suspects, 32-year-old Juan Falcon and 38-year-old Alexander G. Turner, according to the release.

The investigation is ongoing, according to the sheriff’s office.
