Bradenton police seek suspect in Dollar Store robbery caught on video

Bradenton police are searching for a 40-year-old woman who they say was caught on video robbing a Dollar Tree in July.

Detectives said Adrian Randall entered the Dollar Tree at 520 First St. W. on July 8 wearing a heavy coat and covering her face. Police say she then went straight to the store’s office, confronted the manager, claimed she had a weapon and ordered the manager to empty the safe.

The department released security footage that appears to show the robbery on camera, with a masked person walking into the store, directing the manager to open the safe and taking cash before leaving.

Randall was in and out of the store in about two minutes, police said.

Police did not disclose how much money was stolen.

Police ask for help finding suspect

Investigators said forensic evidence left at the scene later identified Randall, but officers have not been able to find her and are asking for the public’s help.

Randall has a lengthy criminal record with prior arrests in Manatee and Lee counties, police said. Court records show she has more than two dozen arrests in Manatee County, including charges of theft, battery and resisting arrest.

Anyone who knows where Randall is can contact Detective Jay Gow at jay.gow@bradentonpd.com. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers of Manatee County at ManateeCrimeStoppers.com.
