Deputies are investigating a death after finding a body in a burning vehicle in Parrish early Wednesday, the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office said.

The agency said it was notified around 2:20 a.m. of a vehicle on fire in the parking lot of the Fort Hamer Park Boat Ramp, where deputies arrived to find a person dead inside.

Sheriff’s office spokesperson Melissa Conway said investigators have found no signs of foul play.

The investigation is ongoing, and no additional details were immediately released.
