Bradenton man accused of beating pregnant girlfriend, abusing her kids, deputies say
A 22-year-old Bradenton man faces multiple charges after deputies say he assaulted his pregnant girlfriend and abused her two young children.
Deputies responded Wednesday to a home in the 300 block of 58th Avenue East in Bradenton after receiving a report of child abuse. Once investigators arrived, they learned the case involved a domestic disturbance between Anthony Reyes-Enos and his 23-year-old girlfriend, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.
The woman told investigators that Reyes-Enos assaulted her over two days during an argument, including punching her in the stomach, according to a news release. She was eventually able to escape the home and call for help, a news release said.
After she left, Reyes-Enos allegedly sent her photos showing her 1-year-old and 2-year-old children with visible bruises and other injuries, according to investigators. Deputies who arrived at the home found both children with lacerations, bruising and swelling, the sheriff’s office said.
Paramedics took the woman and both children to a local hospital for treatment, according to the release.
Reyes-Enos is charged with felony domestic battery by strangulation, aggravated battery on a pregnant woman, tampering with a 911 call, false imprisonment and two counts of aggravated child abuse, according to the sheriff’s office.
The investigation is ongoing.
