Video captures teenagers accused of destroying Bradenton Riverwalk bathroom, police say
Four teens are facing criminal mischief charges after police say they destroyed a men’s bathroom at the Bradenton Riverwalk in January.
The teens, who are between the ages of 14 and 16, are accused of destroying four sinks, two toilets and two urinals, police said. City officials estimate the damage at $5,000.
The Bradenton Police Department shared photos of the wreckage, including broken sinks, smashed urinals and a pile of unraveled toilet paper on the floor.
A police spokeswoman told the Bradenton Herald Tuesday afternoon that police have detained the four teens.
Around 9 p.m. on Jan. 10, police arrived at Rossi Park at the Riverwalk after a witness reported that they heard “shattering” in the men’s bathroom. The witness also told police that they saw four teens leaving the bathroom.
Security camera footage shows the teens arriving on bikes, entering the men’s bathroom and leaving a few minutes later.
No further details were available as of Tuesday morning.
