Drug dealer sentenced to prison after DEA agents raid Bradenton home, prosecutors say
A judge sentenced a Bradenton man to 20 years and 8 months in prison for drug trafficking charges, the United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida announced.
Jamal Trevorah, 31, was charged with possession with intent to distribute various controlled substances and possession of a firearm for a drug trafficking crime. Trevorah pleaded guilty in June 2022, according to a news release.
On May 4, 2021, Drug Enforcement Administration agents searched a home on 16th Street West in Bradenton, where they found a shoe box with 83 grams of cocaine, 66 grams of cocaine base, 40 grams of meth and 18 grams of fentanyl, according to a news release.
Drug agents say they also found an American Tactical .45 caliber handgun loaded with eight rounds of ammunition, a cutting agent, razor blades, scales and more ammunition.
After looking through the home, federal drug enforcement agents searched a motel room, where they found a lunch box with $22,540 in cash.
Federal agents also said they saw Trevorah leave the motel room to sell drugs to people, according to a news release.
