The seventh suspect in a fatal shooting in Bradenton has surrendered, police say
The seventh and final suspect in connection with a January shooting that killed one man and injured two others surrendered on Friday night, the Bradenton police department said in a press release Saturday.
Kobe Brooks, 19, of Bradenton, turned himself into the police. He was wanted for second-degree murder and robbery in connection with a shooting on 10th Avenue W.
Brooks and six people held in connection with the shooting have all been charged with murder.
The seven men went to a residence in the 100 block of 10th Ave. W. on Jan. 23 with the intent of robbing someone, according to the release.
Brooks and others, according to police, started shooting during the robbery. Investigators determined that more than 60 rounds were fired, injuring three people.
A 23-year-old Bradenton man who was shot eventually died. Authorities cannot share his name due to Marsy’s Law.
