A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash on 14th Street in Bradenton, police say
A pedestrian was hit and killed early Saturday morning in a hit-and-run accident on 14th Street West in Bradenton, the Bradenton Police Department said in a press release.
The deadly accident happened at 6:40 a.m.
According to the release, a man was attempting to cross 14th Street West near 21st Avenue West when he was hit by a driver heading southbound.
The man, who was around 60 years old, was pronounced dead at the scene, the release said.
The driver fled the scene in either a dark-colored BMW or Honda with damage to the front hood and sides of the vehicle, the release said.
