Multiple people shot in Bradenton and vehicle crashes by US 301, police say

Three people were injured in a shooting in downtown Bradenton on Monday, police said.
It happened after 5 p.m. on 100 block of 10th Avenue West, police spokesperson Meredith Frameli told the Bradenton Herald.
Officers patrolling the area heard gunfire, and while heading toward the sound they saw a gray vehicle speeding away.
The vehicle was then involved in a crash near 13th Avenue West near where U.S. 301 and Highway 41 merge into South Tamiami Trail/ 1st Street West, Frameli said.
The driver and passengers ran from the crash, but one was quickly arrested and thee others were arrested shortly after, Frameli said.
Three people at the scene of the shooting were taken to hospitals.
Detectives continued to process evidence from the scene on Monday night, and the investigation is ongoing.
