On Monday, the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office released the name of the man who was shot and killed last Thursday, while also releasing the names of witnesses to the crime that they deemed are persons of interest, a news release said.

Officers investigated the shooting that happened Thursday evening in the 6100 block of 10th Street East, before 28-year-old Tracy Priester was dropped off at a parking lot of a Bradenton grocery store, a news release said.

Sheriff’s authorities said that at around 6:30 p.m. deputies went to the Winn-Dixie at 1010 53rd Avenue East after receiving a report that the man was shot and laying inside a parked vehicle after a friend, who was driving him to the hospital pulled over to call 9-1-1, the news release said.

Priester, who was shot, was pronounced dead at the scene, the news release said. The Sheriff’s Department said it believes the man who was shot was involved in an altercation at the 10th street address with someone he likely knew and the shooting does not appear to be a random incident.

They are trying to locate Anthony Rahming, 25, Valentino Swain, 30, and Tevin Anderson, 29, as witnesses of the crime and considered persons of interest, the news release said.

Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to call the Manatee Sheriff’s Office at (941) 747-3011, or to remain anonymous and be eligible for a reward of up to $3,000, call Manatee Crime Stoppers at 866-634-TIPS or visit www.ManateeCrimeStoppers.com to submit an anonymous web tip. An additional $5000 reward for information leading to an arrest is being offered by Gold Star Club of Manatee County.
